Lula returns to Roraima today for the General Assembly of Indigenous Peoples.

This is the second time Lula has visited the state since taking office.

247 - President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva participates this Monday (13) in the 52nd General Assembly of Indigenous Peoples of Roraima. Lula meets with indigenous leaders at Lago Caracaranã, Raposa Serra do Sol region, in Normandia, at 11 am (local time in Boa Vista, 12 pm in Brasília).

This is Lula's second visit to the state since taking office. On January 21, Lula went to Roraima to assess the humanitarian situation of the Yanomami people.

Organized by the Indigenous Council of Roraima (CIR), the event will have the theme "Territorial Protection, Environment and Sustainability". Discussions will focus on land protection, natural resource management, and the indigenous movement's agenda for 2023.

Indigenous organizations from more than 32 indigenous lands in Roraima are expected to attend.
