247 - President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) transferred ABIN (Brazilian Intelligence Agency) to the Civil House. The agency will no longer be under military control.
The measure was made official by a decree published this Thursday (2) in the DOU (Official Gazette of the Union) and was taken almost two months after attacks by pro-Bolsonaro terrorists on the headquarters of the three branches of government. On that occasion, the National Congress, the Supreme Federal Court and the Planalto Palace were vandalized.
