Lula responds to those who speak of the end of the PT: "More alive than ever"
Former President Lula said that the Workers' Party (PT) is criticized for the good things it has done, and because of this, "people who don't like the PT" try to give supposed "good advice."
247 - Former President Lula declared that the PT “is more alive than ever”, on his official Twitter account, this Friday (24). According to him, there are “many articles saying that the PT is finished”, published by “people who don’t like the PT wanting to give ‘good advice’”. Lula also said that the party is criticized “for the good things” it did, “and not for the bad ones”.
As Lula and the PT are being attacked by sectors of the right, the former president reinforces his criticism of Jair Bolsonaro. This Thursday, the 23rd, in an interview with Rádio Itatiaia, Lula condemned Bolsonaro's promotion of hydroxychloroquine – a drug with no scientifically proven efficacy against Covid-19..
"Brazilians are victims of a president who thinks he's a doctor and now he's prescribing medication. The two main health agencies in the US have ruled out the effectiveness of chloroquine, and that's why Trump donated 3 million doses to Brazil. Now the states are under pressure to use it," he declared.
According to Lula, Bolsonaro is simply following the policies of the President of the United States, Donald Trump. "The truth is that the way Trump found to get rid of his chloroquine was by sending it to Bolsonaro to use. And he continues to defend its use against all medical advice."
"That's why I support 'Out with Bolsonaro'," he emphasized.
