Lula will pay tribute to Pelé on Tuesday.

Pelé's body will leave Vila Belmiro in a funeral procession through the streets of Santos on Tuesday.

247 - Confirming the information from 247 Announced on Saturday (31), President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva will pay his respects and tribute to the three-time world champion Edson Arantes do Nascimento, Pelé, and offer his solidarity to his family at 9 am on Tuesday (3), in the city of Santos (SP). Commitments of the president who took office on Sunday (1st) forced him to postpone the trip initially scheduled. But it ended up being confirmed.

The wake for the King of football, who died at age 82 last Thursday (29), is taking place at Santos' stadium, Vila Belmiro. The ceremony began at 10 am this Monday (2) and will last 24 hours, and has attracted several authorities and thousands of fans. 

Pelé's body will leave the stadium in a funeral procession through the streets of Santos, passing in front of the home of Dona Celeste, the star's mother who turned 100 in November and still lives in the city, and then proceed to a private ceremony at the Memorial Necrópole Ecumênica, where the king will be buried.
