Lula: We have implemented and will continue to implement policies to protect women.
The former president lamented the femicide and said that the violence may be linked to easier access to weapons.
From Lula's website - In the final debate of the 2022 campaign, former president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva stated on Friday night (October 28th) that the PT governments have implemented and will continue to implement specific policies for women.
Lula recalled that he created the Ministry of Women and implemented policies that are now being destroyed by the Jair Bolsonaro government. Furthermore, he gave women a leading role in policies such as the "Minha Casa Minha Vida" (My House, My Life) program and financing for family farming, which were the responsibility of the women in the household.

Lula stated that women cannot be victims of as much violence as they are today and said that this violence may be linked to the ease of access to weapons created by the Jair Bolsonaro government.
