Lula: I do weight training, I run 6 km to endure the hardships of this country and to put up with Janjinha.
In good spirits, the former president said he is ready to face the challenges posed in this election year.
247 - In a press conference given to independent media this Tuesday (19), in São Paulo, former president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva said that he is ready to face the challenges imposed in the election year.
"I do weight training, I run 6 km to endure the demands of this country and to put up with Janjinha," he joked, referring to his partner.
The former president also recalled that Bolsonaro was elected on a platform of ending the so-called 'old politics,' but now he is falling into total contradiction. "I don't know of a president in the history of the Brazilian Republic who is as subservient to the National Congress as Bolsonaro is."
"It is not subservient to a democratic National Congress that envisions a developed, educated, and evolved Brazil. No. It is subservient to the most backward aspects of Brazilian politics, to the point of subordinating the budget, which should be managed by the federal government, to a senator elected by a political party that supports the government. This has never happened in Brazil before," he declared.
