247 - Former President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva stated this Thursday, the 7th, to interlocutors that he will maintain his travel schedule throughout the country, despite the testimony of former minister Antonio Palocci to Judge Sérgio Moro, in which Palocci accused Lula of having made a "blood pact" with Odebrecht.

The former president's political agenda includes a second edition of his caravan through the Northeast, this time in Minas Gerais. There are also plans for a caravan in the Pontal do Paranapanema region.

Former minister Gilberto Carvalho states that Lula is doing well. "And he said that, after this caravan, nothing can bring him down," Carvalho told [the source]. Folha de S. Paul, who was Secretary-General of the Presidency of the Republic.

According to the vice-president of the PT (Workers' Party), Alexandre Padilha, the testimony "doesn't change anything in relation to what was planned." "Our offensive agenda is the caravan. We will not be held hostage by the Judiciary's agenda," Padilha stated.

Denying the content of Palocci's statements, Lula complained, in conversations, about expressions used in his testimony, such as "blood pact" and "bribe." According to members of the Workers' Party, there was already an expectation that Palocci would seek to secure a plea bargain. But Lula was "very disappointed" with his former collaborator.

Regarding Palocci's testimony, Lula said that the former minister "had no commitment to the truth" about alleged irregularities concerning land for the construction of the Lula Institute. "Palocci is repeating the role of a defendant who not only gives up defending himself but, without the commitment to tell the truth, validates the accusations of the Public Prosecutor's Office to obtain a reduced sentence, and which in the triplex case was Léo Pinheiro's role," said Lula.read more).
