Lula says that the MTST will not be a "supporting actor," but rather a "player" in a new PT government.

He signaled that, if elected, he would create space for the MTST (Homeless Workers' Movement) to play a decisive role in public housing policies. “I spoke with my colleague Boulos about the situation we are facing now. Many housing projects have been abandoned. The 'Minha Casa Minha Vida' (My House, My Life) program has stopped. (...) If we return to governing this country, don't think it will be easy. We will meet many times. To discuss the quality of housing, how to manage these houses, and you will assume responsibilities. (...) You will not be just supporting actors. You will be subjects of history. You will have to help build programs, help achieve goals, and help govern.”

The former president also expressed "gratitude" to the movement for the support given during the persecution he faced in the Lava Jato operation.
