247 - Senator Kátia Abreu (PP-TO), president of the Foreign Relations Committee, says she hopes Jair Bolsonaro will bring a message of peace during his trip to Russia, scheduled for February 14.

Bolsonaro will visit Russia at a time of serious political and military tension, which is generating fears of war. 

In an attempt to isolate the Russian president, the United States has been pressuring the federal government to cancel the trip. 

The senator says she hopes diplomatic negotiations will prevail in the Ukrainian crisis. She notes that heads of state from other countries are visiting Russia, despite the tense atmosphere surrounding Ukraine. A spokesperson for agribusiness, the senator from Tocantins hopes that Bolsonaro's visit to Russia will focus on forging alliances to foster more formal and solid trade agreements, according to [source missing].
