The court upholds Dallagnol's conviction for moral damages against Renan Calheiros.

The case relates to posts made on Twitter by Deltan, in which he criticized Calheiros' candidacy for President of the Senate in 2019.

247 - The 3rd Civil Chamber of the Court of Justice of Alagoas (TJ-AL) decided, by majority vote, to uphold the first-instance conviction of former prosecutor and current federal deputy Deltan Dallagnol (Podemos-PR) to pay R$ 40 in damages for moral harm to Senator Renan Calheiros (MDB-AL).

According to a reporter According to G1, the decision, related to posts made on Twitter by Deltan during his 2019 Senate presidency campaign, was upheld in an appeal hearing on the 17th. It is still possible to follow the higher courts. 

The judges Tutmés Airan, Sebastião Costa Filho, and Paulo Lima voted to uphold the first-instance ruling, while judges Domingos Neto and Alcides Gusmão were included in the appeal filed by the former prosecutor.

According to the report, the former prosecutor's defense team has not yet commented.
