The pro-Bolsonaro website "Jornal da Cidade Online" was ordered to pay R$ 150 in damages to the president of the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB), Felipe Santa Cruz, for moral damages.
Forum Magazine - A court in Rio de Janeiro has ordered the owners of the pro-Bolsonaro website "Jornal da Cidade Online" to pay R$ 150 in damages to the president of the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB), Felipe Santa Cruz, for moral damages.
Judge Sylvia Therezinha Hausen de Area Leão states in her decision that one of the news articles on the website "leads readers to believe that the author (Santa Cruz) uses fraudulent means to appropriate other people's property while performing his duties."
"Some of them (publications) are undoubtedly offensive and injurious, especially those that claim that the author is of a very low level, that his administration caused the bankruptcy of the OAB (Brazilian Bar Association), and that the author is a crook," says the judge.
