247 - Former federal congresswoman Joice Hasselmann used social media to criticize former first lady Michelle Bolsonaro, who was filmed shopping at a luxury Prada store in the United States. "The humble young woman who lives in a rented apartment is in a Prada store? Is that it? She barely arrived in the US and she's already shopping—she didn't even stop to pray," she wrote on Twitter.
The post refers to a post Michelle made on social media in which she stated she couldn't keep two dogs she found on the street because she was "living in a rented place".
According to the magazine VejaJair Bolsonaro and Michelle have rented a house in the Solar de Brasília condominium, located ten kilometers from the Planalto Palace, in a middle-class neighborhood of the city. The rent for the two-story residence, which has a swimming pool and 400 square meters of built area, is R$ 12 per month.
Michelle traveled to the United States this week and is expected to return to Brazil in the coming days to take office as president of PL Mulher on the 21st. Jair Bolsonaro (PL), however, has indicated that he may return to Brazil on the 29th of this month, after "studying the situation in Brazil".
