Joice says there are 320 votes in favor of pension reform that hasn't been presented.

Despite the government not having presented a proposal for pension reform, newly elected federal deputy Joice Hasselmann (PSL-SP) said after a meeting with Jair Bolsonaro that she already has 320 parliamentarians "committed" to the government to approve the text; Joice, however, contradicts herself by stating that the government does not yet have a base in the Chamber of Deputies; "It's being built, we haven't finished yet," she says.

247 - The government hasn't even managed to define what reform proposal it will send to the National Congress, but newly elected federal deputy Joice Hasselmann (PSL-SP) left a meeting with President Jair Bolsonaro assuring him that she already has 320 members of the new Chamber "committed" to the government.

In her first term, Joice adopts the same conduct in parliamentary politics that she displays as a 'journalist,' her original profession, creating false narratives. In her eagerness to assume leadership of the caucus, she has already picked fights with PSL leaders in the WhatsApp group, including a heated exchange between Senator Major Olímpio and Bolsonaro's son, Eduardo Bolsonaro.

To approve the reform, 3/5 of the votes are needed, that is, at least 308 of the 513 deputies, since it is a PEC (Proposed Amendment to the Constitution). Michel Temer's government had to back down from the proposal because it did not have the votes for approval. Despite saying that she already has 330 votes, Joice said after the meeting with Bolsonaro that the main concern is "to get the pension reform approved as quickly as possible," since the base is still being formed.

"We are building it, we haven't finished yet. The [Chief of Staff] Minister Onyx [Lorenzoni] is responsible for this construction, but today we have 320 parliamentarians committed to us," the congresswoman declared, according to the website. UOL.
