She also announced the end of the corporation's task force created to investigate the allegations against the religious figure, who is already a defendant for crimes of rape of a vulnerable person and sexual violation.
After the indictment, investigations are sent to the Judiciary for analysis by the Public Prosecutor's Office, which may file charges, request dismissal, or request further police investigations. If charges are filed, the court may accept or reject them. If accepted, the individual becomes a defendant and will be tried, and may be convicted or acquitted.
According to the delegate, the task force should be finalized this week. The investigation into money laundering will remain open, due to the more than R$ 1,6 million found hidden in the medium's properties, as well as the origin of the precious stones.
