Ipec predicts Lula will win in the first round with 52% of the valid votes.

247 - The Ipec poll, released this Monday, the 26th, and commissioned by Globo, showed former president Lula, the PT candidate for President of the Republic, in first place with 48% of the votes. The PT candidate gained one point, as he had registered 47% in the previous poll, released on September 19th.

Jair Bolsonaro (PL) came in second place, with 31% (the same percentage as before). 

Considering only valid votes, that is, excluding undecided and blank/null votes, Lula wins in the first round with 52%, against Bolsonaro's 34%.

In the event of a second round, Lula scored 54% (54% in the previous poll) against Bolsonaro's (PL) 35%, the same percentage as before.

Presidential candidate Ciro Gomes (PDT) obtained 6%, placing third. He lost one point compared to the previous poll. In fourth place, Simone Tebet (MDB) had 5% of the electorate (it was 5% in the last survey).

Soraya Thronicke (União Brasil) remained at 1%. Felipe d'Ávila, from Novo, rose one point to 1%. Five candidates remained at 0% – Vera, from PSTU, Constituinte Eymael, from DC, Sofia Manzano, from PCB, Léo Péricles, from UP, and Padre Kelmon, from PTB.

Blank and invalid votes totaled 4% (5% in the previous survey), and those who did not know or did not answer, 4% (4% in the previous survey).

The survey polled 3.008 people between September 25th and 26th. The margin of error is two percentage points, plus or minus, considering a 95% confidence level. The survey was registered with the TSE (Superior Electoral Court) under number BR-01640/2022.
