247 - On vacation at the beach, Jair Bolsonaro once again showed indifference to the plight of the population in southern Bahia affected by floods. His government refused on Wednesday (29) the support offered by Argentina to the victims of the heavy rains that have hit Bahia in recent days. The information comes from the state government.

In a statement, the government of Bahia reports: "The neighboring country intended to immediately send a mission to southern Bahia with professionals specialized in the areas of water, sanitation, logistics, and psychosocial support for disaster victims."

Governor Rui Costa thanked the offer of humanitarian aid on social media and asked the federal government to quickly authorize the international mission.

Report from FSP It highlights that the floods have already left 24 dead and 434 injured. According to the Bahia state government, 37.324 people are homeless and 53.934 are displaced. Of the 141 affected municipalities, 132 remain in a state of emergency. In total, 629.398 people have been affected.

Indifferent to this tragedy, the Bolsonaro government simply formally thanked Argentina for the proposal in an official document and stated that the situation in Bahia is being addressed.
