247 - iFood announced the expansion of its educational program aimed at delivery drivers and other members of its delivery ecosystem. The initiative was presented in São Paulo during the graduation ceremony of the third edition of the "My High School Diploma" program, which has already reached 15 graduates, consolidating education as one of the strategic pillars of the company's operations.

iFood's educational agenda is part of a national partnership with the Social Service of Industry (SESI), in addition to expanding agreements with private educational groups to broaden access to basic, technical, and higher education.

Partnership expands access to basic and vocational education.

With the agreement signed with SESI, iFood will promote free access to basic education through the Nova EJA program, a modality that allows the completion of elementary and high school education in flexible formats, including in-person meetings. The partnership also includes EJA Profissionalizante, with courses in areas such as Information Technology, Human Resources, Warehousing, and Confectionery.

Higher education gains new options in the iFood ecosystem.

The company also announced a partnership with Ânima Educação, which incorporates institutions such as Anhembi Morumbi and São Judas into the project, expanding the offering of higher education. In addition, Cogna Educação, through Universidade Anhanguera, maintains its partnership with iFood, offering undergraduate, technical, and vocational courses to delivery drivers and partners.

Through iFood's educational platform, participants in the delivery ecosystem have access to technical and higher education courses with monthly fees ranging from R$ 119,00 to R$ 159,90. In the pilot phase carried out last year in partnership with Cogna, 1.297 delivery drivers enrolled in courses offered by the project.

Education and economic impact of delivery

Data from 2025 indicates that 29% of delivery drivers have not completed high school. Among those who have completed this stage, 69% express interest in pursuing higher education. The survey also points out that 45% reported a real increase in income after completing their studies.

According to Luana Ozemela, CSO and Vice President of Impact and Sustainability at iFood, investing in education expands training and income opportunities within the ecosystem. “Reaching 15 graduates through the 'My High School Diploma' program is a milestone that reflects the concrete impact of education on the lives of thousands of people. As a Brazilian technology company, iFood understands its role in generating opportunities and strengthening the ecosystem in which it operates. For us, growing together is what drives us, and that's why we invest in education as a driver of personal and professional development and social transformation within the delivery ecosystem,” she stated.

The announcements were made during an event held at the Community Creators Academy in São Paulo, which brought together more than a thousand people and included the presence of Sérgio Mendonça, superintendent of the National Council of SESI. The program included musical performances by Djonga, Dexter, and Edi Rock, as well as a poetic intervention by Sérgio Vaz.

On that occasion, the Diploma Mission Award was also presented, granting amounts of R$ 15, R$ 3.000 and R$ 1.750 to 30 students with the best performance in the National Examination for Certification of Competencies of Young People and Adults (Encceja), reinforcing the reach and scale of the educational initiative.

The platform generates income opportunities for more than 500 delivery drivers across the country and accounts for approximately R$ 110 billion in GDP, in addition to more than 900 direct and indirect jobs.
