The war between Carlos Bolsonaro and Mourão is a sign of a deadlock with the military.

247 - In the endless series of political crises of Jair Bolsonaro's far-right government, a new ingredient has been added to the complicated scenario - the military crisis - further aggravating the situation and making the environment even more tense.

The barrage of attacks by Carlos Bolsonaro, the president's son, seconded by his brother, federal deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro, against the Vice President of the Republic, retired General Hamilton Mourão, marks a "turning point in the relationship between the military and Bolsonaro," according to journalist Igor Gielow in the Folha de S.Paulo newspaper.

The journalist argues that the core group of followers in the government of the astrologer and guru of the Bolsonaro clan, Olavo de Carvalho, has shown political and operational cohesion, inspired by far-right dogmas.

The military, while complaining about the followers of Olavo de Carvalho, lack the same cohesion and show little room for maneuver in practice.

"The fight is between the military wing of the Bolsonaro government, which, like the Devil in the Scriptures, is not one but several, and the two sons who adhere to the ideas espoused by Olavo: Congressman Eduardo and, especially, City Councilor Carlos," argues the... articulist of the Sheet.
