247 - The federal government will begin, next Monday (31), the payment of the Enrollment Incentive of the Pé-de-Meia program, intended for public high school students who have completed their enrollment for the 2025 school year. According to information released by TVT News, approximately 3,9 million installments will be made available this month, including 1,3 million for new students.

The benefit, worth R$ 200, will be paid in a single installment and automatically credited to a CAIXA Tem savings account, opened by Caixa Econômica Federal in the students' names. The funds can preferably be accessed through the CAIXA Tem app. In addition to the Enrollment Incentive, the government will also be making payments this month for remaining installments from 2024 of the Completion and ENEM Incentives, as well as the Attendance Incentive.

Deposits will follow a staggered schedule based on the beneficiaries' birth month. Students can check program details, payment status, and rules through the Ministry of Education's Student Journey app, as well as the CAIXA Tem app itself.

Created by Law No. 14.818/2024, the "Pé-de-Meia" program aims to encourage students to remain in and complete high school through savings deposits, which can total up to R$ 9.200 per student over three years. The program seeks to democratize access to education and reduce social inequalities, ensuring greater inclusion and social mobility for young Brazilians.

Students under the age of 18 will need authorization from a legal guardian to access the funds received, either through the app or at a Caixa branch. Those 18 years of age or older will have their accounts automatically unlocked for use.
