The government will decide by the end of March on salary adjustments for civil servants.
The Minister of Management, Esther Dweck, is counting on increased federal revenue to determine whether there will be a salary adjustment for civil servants.
247 - The federal government is awaiting the release of a technical document in March that will provide a definitive answer to public servants regarding whether or not a salary adjustment will be granted in 2024. The document—called the Primary Revenue and Expenditure Assessment Report—is produced jointly by the technical areas of the Ministries of Finance and Planning and Budget and is published bimonthly, according to a report by journalist [name missing]. Flavia Said, in Metrópoles.
The report, to be released on March 22, will provide an overview of federal tax revenue for the months of January and February. As the Minister of Management, Esther Dweck, has stated, if there is an increase in federal tax revenue, the new Fiscal Framework (the rule for controlling public spending) includes a loophole that allows for increased spending and may even include adjustments in 2024.
