247 - Fearing a truckers' strike like the one registered last year, the Jair Bolsonaro government invited Wanderlei Loureira Alves, known as Dedeco, who leads one of the most critical wings of the category, to a meeting with the Minister of Infrastructure, Tarcísio Gomes de Freitas. The president of the National Confederation of Autonomous Transporters (CNTA), Diumar Bueno, should also participate in the meeting scheduled for the afternoon of this Monday (22), in Brasília.
Last week, the CNTA (National Confederation of Transport Workers) highlighted that the R$ 0,10 increase in the price per liter of diesel fuel has heightened the unrest among truck drivers, who have been "carrying the frustration of not having the minimum freight rate law enforced since last year." If their demands are not met, the category threatens to paralyze activities starting on the 29th of this month.
