Gilmar has 6 impeachment requests: 2 shelved and 4 on hold.

Nothing shakes the security of Gilmar Mendes, a minister of the Supreme Federal Court, not even the six impeachment requests filed against him; two of them have already been shelved thanks to the minister's strong political influence; the remaining four requests depend on the goodwill of Eunício Oliveira (PMDB-CE), the current president of the Court; report from The Intercept website.

By Helena Borges and George Marques, from The Intercept - Nothing shakes Gilmar Mendes's confidence. Not the Public Prosecutor's Office, nor the more than 790 signatures calling for his resignation, nor even the six impeachment requests filed in the Senate since last November.

Two of them have already been shelved thanks to the minister's strong political influence, a favor he owes to Renan Calheiros (PMDB-AL), former president of the Senate. The remaining four requests depend on the goodwill of Eunício Oliveira (PMDB-CE), the current president of the House.

Judging by the smiles captured in the photo below, taken in March during a meeting between the two with Michel Temer and Rodrigo Maia (DEM-RJ), it's easy to understand why even the authors of the requests don't believe the paperwork will ever leave the PMDB politician's drawer.
