Fux returns to the TRF-1 (Regional Federal Court of the 1st Region) case that could reopen the Bolsonaro stabbing case.

The injunction rejected by the minister was filed by the Brazilian Bar Association arguing that the professional prerogatives of Adélio Bispo's lawyer had been violated.

247 - On Monday (22), Minister Luiz Fux, of the Supreme Federal Court, rejected a writ of mandamus that questioned the legality of the searches in the office and cell phone of lawyer Zanone Manuel de Oliveira Júnior, former defender of Adélio Bispo, author of the stabbing against then presidential candidate Jair Bolsonaro.

The minister understood that the case falls under the jurisdiction of the Federal Regional Court of the 1st Region (TRF-1).

The writ of mandamus was filed by the Brazilian Bar Association arguing that the lawyer's professional prerogatives had been violated.

Fux ordered the return of the writ of mandamus to the TRF-1, arguing that there is an express provision for original jurisdiction of that court to judge the case.

"It is understandable that the Constitution of the Republic reserved for the Supreme Federal Court the strict competence to judge ordinary appeals filed in cases of political crimes," the minister stated.
