The cold weather gives way and the sun comes out.

São Paulo recorded its hottest afternoon of the winter yesterday; the next few days will be dry and sunny in the region.

247, with information from Climatempo – For those who could no longer bear the "freezer climate" that prevailed in São Paulo, the forecast for the coming days couldn't be better. The freezing cold will remain locked in southern Argentina for a few more days. A significant drop in temperature is only expected in the city around July 20th. Even then, the cold will not be as intense as it was in June or at the beginning of July. 

A cold front coming from southern Brazil will pass through the coast of São Paulo this Tuesday, but with weak intensity. Greater São Paulo will have some clouds, but the chance of rain is remote. The forecast indicates that the week will be marked by dry weather and sunshine will predominate in the region. There is no expectation of freezing days like those observed until last Saturday. The forecast for this Tuesday is a minimum of 13 degrees and a maximum of 27 degrees.

In the southern region, this Tuesday, the arrival of a cold front will bring overcast skies and little sunshine to southwestern Rio Grande do Sul, where heavy rain is expected. In western and southern Santa Catarina, the sun will appear with intermittent showers. In other areas, the sun will shine brightly amidst many clouds, and no rain is forecast. During the afternoon, temperatures will rise and humidity will decrease.

Warmest afternoon of this winter

It had been a long time since the residents of São Paulo had felt heat like that experienced on Monday afternoon. At 13 p.m., the temperature reached 28 degrees Celsius at Campo de Marte, in the northern part of the city. The last time the temperature reached this level there was on April 23rd, when the thermometer hit 29 degrees Celsius. In other words, it hadn't been this hot in the city for exactly two months and 18 days.

Around 15 PM, the Congonhas airport area also recorded 28 degrees Celsius. To give you an idea of ​​how much hotter it has gotten in the last 48 hours, the temperature on Saturday afternoon did not exceed 21 degrees Celsius in the warmest parts of São Paulo, even with the sun shining.
