247 - Former Army commander, General Marco Antônio Freire Gomes, said in testimony to the Federal Police that he opposed Jair Bolsonaro's coup plans. The nearly eight-hour testimony took place on Friday (1) and is under seal, but sources familiar with the investigation reported the content to journalist Malu Gaspar, in her column in the newspaper O Globo.

 "The general also stated to the Federal Police that he had expressed his opposition to any action that would prevent Lula from taking office, both in front of Bolsonaro and at the Ministry of Defense, in private discussions on the matter," it reports.
