247 - Allies of Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) report that, at the request of his father, Jair Bolsonaro (PL), he has taken on the role of mediating internal conflicts within the conservative camp. According to the newspaper... The GlobeFlávio traveled to Washington, where he met with his brother Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP), to ask him to tone down his criticism of members of his own right-wing camp.

The meeting took place over the weekend and was intended to avoid further public clashes that had been straining the relationship between Bolsonaro's supporters and influential figures in the political arena. Neither Flávio nor Eduardo have publicly commented on the matter.

Eduardo's criticisms generated friction on the right.

In recent months, Eduardo Bolsonaro has intensified his criticism of leaders from allied parties, such as the president of the PP, Ciro Nogueira, and Senator Tereza Cristina (PP-MS). He has also attacked governors considered as potential presidential candidates in 2026, increasing tensions within the conservative camp.

This behavior has caused growing unease within the PL, which is trying to establish itself as the main right-wing party, and has increased fears of political isolation for the group. Eduardo's digital offensive has also irritated parties such as the PP and Republicanos, which are seeking space to establish themselves as alternatives in the post-Bolsonaro scenario.

Repositioning of the right towards 2026

The internal dispute occurs amidst the repositioning of various conservative parties seeking alternatives for the 2026 presidential election. The governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicanos), is seen as the leading figure in this camp, although he reaffirms that he will only be running for reelection in the state.

Since being placed under house arrest in August, Jair Bolsonaro has distanced himself from direct political maneuvering, but continues to influence decisions through his sons. Flávio, with more open access to Congress, has been acting as the family's liaison and advocates a message of unity, including rebuilding bridges with the Centrão (center-right bloc).

The conversation also included Lula and Donald Trump.

During the meeting in the United States, the brothers also discussed the recent rapprochement between President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) and the President of the United States, Donald Trump. Flávio wanted to hear his brother's take on the meetings, but Eduardo reportedly downplayed the importance of the relationship, stating that the American right remains aligned with Bolsonaro's ideology. Blogger Paulo Figueiredo also participated in the conversation, but said he did not receive any kind of guidance.
