Fiat sparks outrage by encouraging 'catcalling' in traffic.

Fiat Argentina had to withdraw a manual that encouraged "catcalling" in traffic; among the tips, the booklet suggested using the horn to flirt and recommended that women with very short skirts occupy the back seat so as not to distract the driver; "If the skirt is not too short, but the driver has long hands, he should also travel in the back," the text says.

Forum Magazine - Fiat Argentina had to withdraw a manual that encouraged "catcalling" in traffic. Among the tips, the booklet suggested using the horn to flirt and recommended that women wearing very short skirts occupy the back seat so as not to distract the driver. "If the skirt isn't too short, but the driver has long hands, then he should also travel in the back," the text said.

The manual's prejudiced tone doesn't stop there. Amid recommendations on how to best enjoy the vehicle, the brand maintained its irony when explaining the use of the air conditioning. "We remind you that you can take advantage of the warmth, such as: inducing a girl you like to take off an article of clothing."

Regarding the candidates for "co-pilot," more sexism: "If she's not very good at conversation, she should know some jokes or, if she's a girl, at least have beautiful legs." The Ni una menos collective used its Facebook page to denounce the case, sharing photos of the pamphlet. After numerous criticisms, the company regretted the negative impact and stated that it "never intended to disrespect the community."
