FHC opens up in documentary: 'After being president, I was nothing else'

The statement by the former PSDB president is included in the documentary "The Unlikely President," which will be released in theaters at the end of March.

The film mixes archival footage with dialogues between FHC (Fernando Henrique Cardoso) and figures from national and international politics, such as Bill Clinton, Manuel Castells, Gilberto Gil, Ricardo Lagos, Raul Jungmann, Maria Hermínia Tavares, Boris Fausto, Alain Touraine, among others. In total, 20 interviews were recorded, each lasting approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Among the various topics covered in the documentary, FHC also comments on the period of the military dictatorship and expresses doubts about the reelection mechanism, which came into effect during his term.
