The 84th ATM in São Paulo has exploded since January.
It happened in Santo André, in the early morning hours; thieves fled with the safe.
Around 4:30 AM, criminals blew up an ATM belonging to the Banco 24 Horas network at a gas station on Rua do Oratório, Parque Novo Oratório, in Santo André. The group fled by car carrying the safe. The police were unable to provide further details about the case.
Cases - From January to July, there have already been 84 cases of attacks on ATMs that occurred at night in the metropolitan region of São Paulo, as reported by estadão.com.br. There were 44 cases in the capital and 40 in cities in Greater São Paulo. In 58 of the 84 cases, the criminals were armed with explosives, according to the police.
