247 - A heated discussion on Friday night (31) via WhatsApp, in the Prerogativas group, led to the departure from the legal group of lawyer Augusto Botelho, national secretary of Justice in the Lula government. According to a report by newspaper According to Folha de S.Paulo, the measure came after the intention of the Minister of Justice, Flávio Dino, Botelho's superior, to appoint the lawyer Marilda Silveira as an advisor.

The nomination caused unease, and some figures in the legal field disapproved of Marilda's name, given her actions against President Lula. One of these actions gained national prominence, preventing him from assuming the position of Chief of Staff in Dilma Rousseff's government in 2016, on the eve of the coup d'état.

Marilda will be responsible for interviewing candidates for positions in higher courts.

According to the report, at one point, Botelho said that, given his connection to Dino, he could no longer remain in Prerrogativas, of which he was one of the most prominent members. Irritated, he left the group.
