On Monday (1), the Official Gazette of the Union (DU) published the appointment of Marcelo Lopes da Ponte, chief of staff of the senator and president of the PP, Ciro Nogueira (PI), to head the National Fund for the Development of Education (FNDE), which has a budget of R$ 54 billion for this year.

According to the report, former president of the Brazilian Mint, Alexandre Borges Cabral, would be the PL party's nominee to head the Banco do Nordeste. Last week, Bolsonaro said he was negotiating positions with political parties, but denied offering the leadership of state-owned companies or official banks.
