Eduardo and Flávio Bolsonaro launch new fake news with a quote attributed to Churchill.

Brazilian Congressman Eduardo Bolsonaro (PSL-SP) and Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (Republicanos-RJ) posted a quote on Twitter attributed to the former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Winston Churchill. However, according to the International Churchill Society (ICS), Churchill never said such a thing.

Forum Magazine - Federal deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro (PSL-SP), as well as his brother and senator Flávio Bolsonaro (Republicanos-RJ), published on Twitter, this Sunday (31), a phrase that is falsely attributed to the former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Winston Churchill.

"The fascists of the future will call themselves anti-fascists (Winston Churchill)," wrote the president's sons on Twitter, on the same day that the country registered several anti-fascist protests and protests against the Bolsonaro government.

The phrase, however, was never actually said by Churchill. The quote gained prominence when it was shared in August 2018 by the Republican governor of Texas, Greg Abbott, who also attributed the statement to the former prime minister.

However, the International Churchill Society (ICS), founded in 1968 shortly after Churchill's death and recognized as the leading organization dedicated to the memory of the former prime minister, denied the governor's tweet.
