247 - The Minister of Justice and Public Security, Flávio Dino, welcomed the decision of Federal Court of Espírito Santo which suspended the Telegram messaging app after the platform failed to comply with requests from the Federal Police (PF) regarding the delivery of data on Nazi groups.

According to Minister Dino, these groups are linked to terrorist attacks in schools across the country. He also alluded to what he called a "pact for peace, security, and justice."

“There are groups there (on Telegram) called anti-Semitic fronts, anti-Semitic movements, operating on these networks, and we know that this is at the root of the violence against our children, our teenagers. So we are here, Governor Elmano, on behalf of the President of the Republic, to strengthen this pact. A pact for peace, for security, for social justice,” declared Dino.

The Justice Minister's comment was made at an event in Fortaleza (CE) for the launch of the new National Public Security Program (Pronasci). Governor Elmano de Freitas (PT) participated in the event.
