Dino links the terrorists from the January 8 attacks to the killers of children in schools.
"The ethos, the paradigm of world organization that political coup plotters and child abusers, child murderers have, is the same," the minister stated.
Power Agenda - The Minister of Justice and Public Security, Flávio Dino, said that the "idea of extremist violence" links political coup plotters who invaded and vandalized the headquarters of the Three Branches of Government on January 8th to the murderers of children in schools and daycare centers.
"It is influenced by the idea of extremist violence at any price, at any cost," said Dino, this Monday (April 10), in a conversation with journalists as he left the event at the Planalto Palace that marked the first 100 days of Lula's government.
Dino was speaking about the consequences and investigations into the coup attempts of January 8th, when Bolsonaro supporters, dissatisfied with their electoral defeat, stormed the Presidential Palace, the National Congress, and the Supreme Federal Court (STF).
“From a political standpoint, I can say that things have improved a lot, in relation to democratic issues,” the minister began. “If we look back 100 days, there were many questions regarding the conditions of governability. Political extremism ended up broadening support for the government, not only socially but also institutionally,” he continued, then speaking about what he sees as the relationship between those events and the attacks on schools and daycare centers, such as the one that occurred in Blumenau last week, leaving four children dead.
“The remaining question today is holding accountable those who orchestrated this coup plan for months, and the echoes, the reverberations of the violence that persist. For example, we are now dealing with these threats related to schools. We have a connection between one thing and another,” Dino assessed. “It is influenced by the idea of extremist violence at any price, at any cost. The ethos, the paradigm of world organization that political coup plotters and aggressors against children, murderers of children, have is the same. It is the same matrix of thought, the matrix of violence,” stated the Minister of Justice.
"So, we have a daily struggle, because in this aspect the level of destruction was very high. And the response that falls to us is the response of accountability. It is to punish those people who violate the law and, of course, to provide prevention, as we are doing daily," concluded Flávio Dino. (Information from...) Metropolises.
