Dilma: Odebrecht's lies will not become facts.

In a statement released to the press, deposed President Dilma Rousseff says that businessman Marcelo Odebrecht "is once again lying when he says in court that he would be a kind of godfather to requests from the elected President Dilma Rousseff with the construction company"; the construction company executive testified to the Federal Court of Paraná this Tuesday (5); "The truth will come to light. Insinuations or lies launched will not have the power to become facts. Justice will restore the truth," said Dilma.

247 - Deposed President Dilma Rousseff released a statement to the press commenting on the testimony of executive Marcelo Odebrecht to the Federal Court of Paraná this Tuesday (05). In the statement, Dilma says that Odebrecht's lies will not turn into facts.

"Regarding the testimony of businessman Marcelo Odebrecht to the Federal Court of Paraná, reported by the national media this Tuesday, September 5th, the Press Office of President-elect Dilma Rousseff clarifies:"

Once again, Mr. Marcelo Odebrecht is lying when he testifies that he was a kind of godfather to the requests of the elected president Dilma Rousseff to the construction company.

It is a lie that Dilma Rousseff asked or ordered anyone to ask for resources or favors from Mr. Marcelo Odebrecht or executives of the construction company. That never happened. The businessman is lying.

The truth will come to light. Insinuations or lies will not be transformed into facts. Justice will restore the truth.
