"Operation Lava Jato is not something that belongs to a few bureaucrats, who can either give oxygen or leave oxygen to the people they see fit. It is an operation that belongs to society," Mauat criticized in a statement published by the Nas Ruas page on Facebook.
The official justification for his removal from the operation, announced on the 2nd, was the "rejuvenation of the team." Mauat had already left Lava Jato last year, but managed to return.
