OAS's plea bargain reveals bribes of R$ 125 million to politicians, including Serra and Aécio.

The plea bargains of eight former employees of the construction company OAS, within the scope of Lava Jato, detailed the transfer of bribes and undeclared funds to 21 politicians from eight parties; among the names cited by the informants as beneficiaries of the scheme are Senator José Serra (PSDB-SP), Congressman Aécio Neves (PSDB-MG), as well as former governors Sérgio Cabral (MDB), Jaques Wagner (PT) and Fernando Pimentel (PT), in addition to former Rio mayor Eduardo Paes (DEM); informants also cited public officials, state-owned company executives, money launderers, members of pension funds and businessmen.

247 - The plea bargains of eight employees from the so-called Structured Projects Control Department of the construction company OAS, which became known as the company's bribery department, revealed the transfer of bribes and slush funds to 21 politicians from eight parties. Among the names cited by the informants as beneficiaries of the scheme are Senator José Serra (PSDB-SP), Congressman Aécio Neves (PSDB-MG), former governor of Rio de Janeiro Sérgio Cabral (MDB), and former mayor of Rio, Eduardo Paes (DEM), as well as former governor of Rio Grande do Sul Fernando Pimentel (PT) and Jaques Wagner (PT-BA). 

According to the newspaper The GlobeThe citations are included in a report by the Attorney General's Office (PGR) that summarizes 127 testimonies given by former executives of the construction company. The document also contains information about the financing of political campaigns, the overpriced projects, and the operating system of the scheme.

In addition to the politicians implicated, several public officials, state-owned company executives, money launderers, pension fund members, and businesspeople were also cited as beneficiaries of the scheme.
