Jair Bolsonaro's defense team has until 21:13 PM to comply with the decision of Minister Alexandre de Moraes of the Supreme Federal Court (STF), who requested explanations regarding the violation of the prohibition on the use of social media, including posts by third parties. The measure was... determined last week against the former president.

A decision The minister's statement was made yesterday after Bolsonaro received another warning about... publishing interview links granted to the press in recent days.

The 24-hour period began at 21:13 PM yesterday after lawyer Celso Villardi, one of Bolsonaro's defenders, was notified via WhatsApp by a court officer from the Supreme Federal Court.

On Monday afternoon (21), Bolsonaro displayed the electronic ankle bracelet when visiting the Chamber of Deputies, and the images were published on several social media profiles and in the press. The use of the equipment is part of another precautionary measure established against the former president.

On Friday (18), precautionary measures were determined in the investigation in which the former president's son, federal deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP), is investigated for his actions with the government of the president of the United States, Donald Trump, aiming to promote retaliatory measures against the Brazilian government and ministers of the Supreme Court and try to block the progress of the criminal action on the plot that intended to carry out a coup d'état in Brazil in 2022.

According to Alexandre de Moraes, the measures are necessary to prevent Bolsonaro from fleeing the country.

  • Use of an electronic ankle bracelet;
  • Nighttime home confinement between 19 pm and 6 am, Monday to Friday, and full time on weekends and holidays;
  • Prohibition of approach and access to embassies and consulates of foreign countries;
  • Prohibition on maintaining contact with foreign ambassadors or authorities;
  • Prohibition on the use of social networks, directly or through third parties.
  • Prohibition on maintaining contact with Eduardo Bolsonaro and those investigated in the four groups involved in the coup plot.
