Flávio Bolsonaro's criticism of Hamas sparks outrage online.

By Cesar Locatelli, for 247 - Wednesday morning (April 3rd) saw the hashtag #HamasVoteiNoHaddad trending first on Twitter. The topic went viral with a tweet from Flávio Bolsonaro saying: "I want you all to EXPLODE!!!", referring to the Hamas movement.

There are jokes and funny remarks mixed with shame and indignation. Here are some examples and the official statement from Hamas.

Some tweets with the hashtag #HamasVoteedForHaddad:

Hamas, I voted for Haddad, but I know who voted for Bolsonaro.

- Is plea bargaining acceptable here? I know half a dozen Bolsonaro supporters.

I don't know Flávio Bolsonaro, I don't even know who he is in the illegal lottery!

Hamas, do this for us. I've never asked you for anything!

- Hamas, I have nothing to do with this. I even left some WhatsApp groups and ended some friendships. If you want, I even have screenshots.

The Northeast tried its best to avoid the fascist. It's not our fault!

The family managed to screw over Brazil in our economic relations with just one gesture.

- Mr. Hamas, just so you know, those who support this kind of talk dress in yellow and do some weird dances, okay?

- Bring it on, Hamas!!! We have the Fleet…

Just to be clear [with the chart showing how many voters did not vote for Bolsonaro]

Hey #HamasIvotedForHaddad and we in the Northeast have nothing to do with this. We Brazilians have a feeling of brotherhood with the peoples of the world. Bolsonaro, on the other hand, doesn't even seem human.

Billions in exports, job creation, taxes and revenue, insurance. And the "militiaman" can't keep his tongue out of his big mouth. Now deal with the consequences.

Here is a translation of the Hamas Movement's statement warning that Bolsonaro's attitude does not contribute to the "stability and security of the region," and threatens "Brazilian ties with Arab and Islamic nations."

Press release regarding the Brazilian president's visit to the Israeli occupation.

Regarding the Brazilian president's visit to the Israeli occupation, the Hamas movement states the following:

The Hamas movement strongly condemns Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro's visit to the Israeli occupation as an act that not only contradicts the historical stance of the Brazilian people in supporting the Palestinian people's struggle for freedom against the occupation, but also violates international law and norms.

Specifically, Hamas denounces the fact that the Brazilian president visited the Holy City of Jerusalem and the Burak Wall accompanied by the prime minister of the Israeli occupation. The movement also condemns the announced plan to create a trade office for Brazil in Jerusalem.

Hamas calls on Brazil to immediately reverse this policy, which is against international law, as well as the supportive positions of the Brazilian people and the peoples of Latin America.

We emphasize that this policy does not serve the stability and security of the region and threatens Brazilian ties with Arab and Islamic nations.

Finally, Hamas urges the Arab League, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and all international organizations to pressure the Brazilian government to reverse these actions that support the Israeli occupation and provide cover for its abominable crimes and violations against the Palestinian people.
