247 - Intelligence agencies believe that Geovani Pereira da Silva, accountant for illegal gambling operator Carlos Cachoeira, may have fled the country. Because of this, the Federal Police and the Public Prosecutor's Office may request an international arrest warrant from the courts. This information comes from journalist Claudio Humberto.

The Federal Police have evidence that Geovani actively participated in the scheme of the illegal gambling operator Cachoeira. As reported by Folha, Geovani Pereira da Silva withdrew R$ 8,5 million from the account of Alberto e Pantoja Construções e Transportes Ltda, a shell company of Delta Construções, in Brasília, between May and December of 2010. Investigations show that Silva withdrew money from a second company, Brava Construções e Terraplanagem, which received R$ 13 million from Delta in 2010.

According to Claudio Humberto's column, Cachoeira, now imprisoned in Papuda, allegedly has interests in Miami, which is why the fugitive accountant might be hiding there. Cachoeira is known in Goiás as someone who compulsively documents and records everything. His accountant is believed to have a copy of this valuable archive. It is suspected that the accountant, the faithful custodian of Cachoeira's relentless files, would use them if his boss suffered "reprisals." Cachoeira's accountant is the only one of the 35 arrest warrants that the Federal Police have not yet executed in Operation Monte Carlo.
