The Israeli Confederation rejects the comparison made by Ernesto Araújo between Nazi concentration camps and social isolation.
The representative body of the Jewish community in Brazil says that there is no way to compare sanitary measures with the persecutory actions that resulted in the death of six million Jews in Europe.
247 - The Israelite Confederation of Brazil repudiated the statement by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ernesto Araújo, comparing social isolation measures to combat the coronavirus pandemic to Nazi concentration camps.
For the Confederation, social isolation was aimed at combating a pandemic, whereas concentration camps were part of a persecutory action against Jews.
The Conib note, published this Wednesday (29), recalls that this persecutory action resulted in the death of 6 million Jews in Europe.
The information is from Dashboard From Folha de S.Paulo, which also highlights Conib's demand that the minister retract his statement immediately.
