With Temer on the ropes, "Out with Temer" takes to the streets.

Pressure against President Michel Temer's (PMDB) government is only increasing in the streets; a photo by Christian Braga, from Jornalistas Livres, shows thousands of people on Avenida Paulista this Sunday afternoon; the group shouted "Out with Temer" and protested against the Spending Cap Amendment and the amendment that provides amnesty for electoral crimes; MTST coordinator Guilherme Boulos said that the amendment is an attack on the Brazilian people and that Temer's statement this Sunday, about the intention to block the amnesty amendment for undeclared campaign contributions, is hypocrisy: "It's the old story of stealing a wallet and shouting 'catch the thief'. They are the ones who created all this."

247 - Pressure against President Michel Temer's (PMDB) government is only increasing in the streets. Thousands of people occupied Paulista Avenue on Sunday afternoon to shout "Out with Temer" and protest against the Spending Cap Amendment and the amendment that provides amnesty for electoral crimes. The large protest was organized by the People Without Fear mobilization front, which brings together more than 30 social movements, including the MTST (Homeless Workers' Movement).

The coordinator of the MTST (Homeless Workers' Movement), Guilherme Boulos, said that the proposed constitutional amendment is an attack on the Brazilian people and that Temer's statement this Sunday, regarding the intention to block the amendment granting amnesty to undeclared campaign contributions, is hypocritical. "It's the old story of stealing a wallet and shouting 'catch the thief'. They're the ones who created all this," he said.

The protesters observed a minute of silence in homage to Fidel Castro, who died on Friday (25), and then shouted "Long live Fidel". Boulos returned to the microphone to criticize the government and Congress.
