With the end-of-year holidays approaching, Lula urges the population to get vaccinated: "Let's protect those we love."
"Nearly 70 million people still haven't received their booster dose. We could lose vaccine supplies in 2023 due to a lack of incentive campaigns from the current government," Lula stated.
247 - President-elect Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) used Twitter on Wednesday (30) to ask the Brazilian population to update their vaccination status. He highlighted the proximity of the end-of-year holidays - Christmas and New Year's Eve - and the need to "protect those we love". This time of year is marked by travel and family gatherings, environments conducive to crowding and, therefore, to the spread of diseases, such as Covid-19.
Lula highlighted that "almost 70 million" people have not completed their Covid vaccination cycle and said that the country risks running out of vaccines in 2023 due to low demand.
"The holiday season is approaching. Almost 70 million people still haven't received their booster dose. We could lose vaccines in 2023 due to a lack of incentive campaigns from the current government. I urge you to get vaccinated and update your children's vaccination schedule. Let's protect those we love," he posted.
