Fearing re-arrest, Queiroz asks to change the case's rapporteur.

The reason given by the defense of Queiroz, treasurer of the Bolsonaro clan, is due to the medical leave of the current rapporteur, Minister Felix Fischer, who is also considered more rigorous.

Sputnik - The defense team for Fabrício Queiroz, former parliamentary aide to Flávio Bolsonaro, has asked the Superior Court of Justice (STJ) to change the judge presiding over the case in which he is a defendant.

The reason given by Queiroz's defense is due to the medical leave of the current rapporteur, Minister Felix Fischer, who was hospitalized last Sunday (2) due to complications arising from an internal hernia.

The minister was discharged on Friday (7), but has not yet returned to work.

The information was published this Saturday (8) by the newspaper O Estado de S.Paulo.

Queiroz's request is based on articles 21 and 72 of the STJ's Internal Regulations, which deal with the proceedings of ministers who have had to be removed from office.

Queiroz and his wife are accused of participating in the "rachadinha" scheme in Flávio Bolsonaro's office and are currently under house arrest.
