Daniel Lima_Agência Brasil - The Brazilian Federal Revenue Service reported that it seized more than half a ton of pure cocaine in Pernambuco over the weekend, the largest seizure of the drug ever made in the Northeast region. So far, 530 kilos have been found inside a container.

According to the Brazilian Federal Revenue Service, the drugs were to leave the Port of Suape bound for Africa, and from there they would continue on to Europe, their final destination. The Federal Police also participated in the operation.

The origin is still under investigation, but the Revenue Service suspects the drugs may have come from Bolivia or Colombia.

More than 3 bags that are part of the plaster shipment investigated by the Federal Revenue Service and the Federal Police will still be opened to check if there is more cocaine. Those responsible have already been identified. The penalty for international drug trafficking can reach 20 years in prison.
