Ciro once again attacks former president Lula, who said he was ready for dialogue.
Even after former president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva signaled his intention to engage in dialogue with Ciro Gomes to confront fascism, the politician from Ceará decided to attack him gratuitously.
247 - Former minister and former governor Ciro Gomes (PDT-CE) once again attacked former president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva after the PT member signaled, at the beginning of April, the desire to resume dialogue with the former governor in order to combat the growing fascism in Brazil. "Lula is the leader [of the scams]. Only a Lula fanatic would deny that," said Ciro this Thursday (9), in an interview with UOLCiro also stressed that he has no connection whatsoever with Lula and that he has "lost respect" for him.
A signaling Lula's call for dialogue aimed at uniting the progressive camp against the Jair Bolsonaro government came in the wake of the opposition manifesto, released at the end of March, signed by former presidential candidates in 2018, Fernando Haddad, Guilherme Boulos and also by Ciro Gomes, in addition to governors and presidents of opposition parties.
"The important thing was that Ciro Gomes got involved; it wasn't right for me to sign. PT, PDT, PSOL, PCdoB, and PSB have been meeting every week. When the parties decide that I should participate in these conversations, I will have no problem at all; I will be ready to talk to Ciro. The important thing now is to remove Bolsonaro," Lula said at the time.
