Forum Magazine - Former minister Ciro Gomes (PDT) has been working to have former minister Marina Silva (Rede) as his running mate in the 2022 presidential elections. Despite being adversaries in the 2018 elections, the two have grown closer and may run together in the October elections.

According to information from journalist Gustavo Uribe of CNN Brazil, Ciro has been making moves to convince Marina to run as his vice-presidential candidate. The former minister, for now, says she doesn't want to run for an executive position, but the PDT party has been mobilizing to try and change that.

Although there was no official statement from the former minister, the news cheered Ciro's supporters on social media. The names of both of them became trending topics on Twitter. The hashtag #Cirina was also widely shared.
