Brazil's Comptroller General's Office (CGU) is investigating suspected falsification of Bolsonaro's vaccination card.
The Comptroller General of the Union has until March 13th to decide whether or not to lift the secrecy surrounding the case.
247 - Brazil's Comptroller General's Office (CGU) confirmed it has opened an investigation into suspicions that false data was entered into Jair Bolsonaro's (PL) vaccination card. This information comes from the newspaper... The Globe.
On Monday (16), the CGU had announced the possibility that the secrecy imposed on Bolsonaro's vaccination card could be lifted in the coming days. In a statement, the CGU informed that it has until March 13 to decide whether or not to remove the secrecy on the case.
According to the report, "the investigation in question was opened during the tenure of former CGU Minister Wagner Rosário, near the end of the previous government. In January of this year, a group of hackers released a vaccination card that supposedly belonged to Bolsonaro. It showed a record of a dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, which was allegedly administered at a health unit in São Paulo, dated July 19, 2021."
Former members of the Bolsonaro government, however, claim that the information is false and assert that the former president was in Brasília on that date.
