Cardozo demands maturity to approve reforms.

The Minister of Justice, José Eduardo Cardozo, said this Monday (16) that the current moment is to "minimize differences" and "have maturity" to approve the political reform in the National Congress; "The problem [need for political reform] persists. We have to be sensitive to the fact that society wants a new political system that guarantees representativeness in its eyes. We cannot remain with a system that opens the doors to corruption," he said.

247 - The Minister of Justice, José Eduardo Cardozo, said this Monday (16) that the current moment is to "minimize differences" and "have maturity" to approve the political reform in the National Congress. According to the minister, the proposal has not advanced in the last two years due to a decision by Congress, but that the demonstrations registered in several cities of the country this Sunday (15) will "channel the reflection for all political leaders".

"The problem [the need for political reform] persists. We have to be sensitive enough to realize that society wants a new political system that guarantees representation in its eyes. We cannot remain with a system that opens the doors to corruption," Cardozo said in an interview with Rádio Estadão.
