Cancellier leaves his life and blood for UFSC, says vice-rector.

Long live our beloved Luiz Carlos Cancellier," said Vice-Rector Alacoque Erdmann. Cancellier committed suicide after being unjustly arrested in a Federal Police operation.

The chief of staff and friend of the rector, Áureo de Moraes, also briefly offered words of thanks and tribute to Cancellier. The body of the former rector of UFSC was applauded by students and professors who were waiting in front of the funeral home.
On Tuesday at 10:00 AM, the coffin will be taken to the UFSC Culture and Events Center, where a solemn session of the University Council will be held starting at 11:00 AM, also open to the public. In the afternoon, the body will be taken in a cortege to the Jardim da Paz cemetery, where the burial ceremony will take place starting at 4:00 PM.
